The OHRES platform will be deployed next to the OBSEA cabled observatory, located 4 km off the Vilanova i la Geltru coast in a Natura 2000 protected area.

Parts of the nearby area are covered by Posidonia oceanica meadows, making the site ideal to combine solar and wave energy harvesting, as well as monitoring the Posidonia restoration progress and the ecological footprint of the platform’s presence.
