SUNBIO was presented during the final ecoRoute Project Meeting in Martinique, aiming to build strong synergies between the two projects and explore opportunities for collaboration.
The presentation highlighted how SUNBIO can positively contribute to addressing the specific needs of EU Outermost Regions, such as Madeira, Azores, and Martinique. These regions face significant environmental and energy challenges, including climate vulnerability, fragile marine ecosystems, and limited monitoring infrastructure.
SUNBIO demonstrated its potential to support these regions through innovative solutions in renewable energy generation, marine ecosystem protection and restoration, and advanced environmental monitoring systems.
The ecoRoute partners expressed strong interest in the SUNBIO approach, recognizing its potential to contribute meaningfully to sustainable development and resilience in EU Outermost Regions.
