On September 26, 2024, the SUNBIO project was welcomed a distinguished delegation from Shanghai, China, led by Mr. Xu Guangwu, Vice Director of the Shanghai Administration Center for Ocean Affairs, at the Institut de Ciències del Mar – CSIC (ICM-CSIC) in Barcelona, Spain.

The delegation, comprising six representatives from various marine and engineering institutions, engaged in an enriching exchange of ideas and expertise centered around marine conservation, sustainable technologies, and digital innovation.

During the visit, SUNBIO researchers M. Francescangeli, D. Chatzievangelou, and J. Aguzzi, delivered a presentation titled:”SUN-BIO: sistemas de generación de energía verde para alimentar observatorios inteligentes autónomos”(“SUN-BIO: green energy generation systems to power autonomous smart observatories”),highlighting the project’s mission to support marine monitoring infrastructures with integrated renewable energy systems.

This visit marked a significant step in building international collaborations and underscored the global relevance of SUNBIO’s technological solutions.
